When you think loads of fun, a mingling of cultures, and romance galore, you are imagining the New Haven Country Club wedding of Tom and Eva. It all started a few days before, when their British and American families gathered for the very first time. Over cricket and baseball, their relatives connected to learn one another’s stories, and celebrate with the happy couple at a backyard party that delighted every guest.
At last, the day arrived. Tom and Eva’s bright energy seemed to flow throughout every space in the venue. New Haven Country Club was built in 1898 in Connecticut; the lush landscape and classic architecture still reflect this bygone era. Several shots were captured of Eva with her family and bridesmaids as she got ready for her big moment. And then the downpour began.
Rain flowed all over the golf course for an astonishing hour and a half! But nothing could dampen this couple’s spirits. They waited patiently for it to subside, and their guests didn’t miss a moment to take a spin on the dance floor amidst a 15-piece band. Eventually, the sun broke through the clouds and a hopeful rainbow filled the sky.
The ceremony was an elegant affair, the groomsmen sporting striking black suits, and the bridesmaids lovely in purple. Tom and Eva were stunning in both style and happiness. The vows of the couple and songs sung by family made for an emotional experience. Excellent lighting after the rain allowed for some phenomenal portraits as well, bathed in golden light and the warm sunset. Some after-rain fog added a unique touch.
The reception was divine, bringing a combination of old and young, British and American together. A fuse of bohemian influence, elegance and pure fun, truly this event will live on forever in memory – and excellent photographs.
