Anne and David reside in Brooklyn, New York, and their relaxed, fun personalities were reflected in their lovely Connecticut elopement. The ceremony was intimate, around 20 guests in attendance. The groom’s sister-in-law had the pleasure of officiating at the Hampton Congregational Church. The couple’s niece and nephews made up their wedding party, just for kicks! Judging by the happy looks on the guest’s faces as Anne floated down the aisle, a lasting impression was made on all.
Her dress was a simple and elegant strapless with a sweetheart neckline. She donned pearls and revealed that she was also wearing funky, sparkly high heels to add flair. David looked dashing in a black tux from J. Crew and matching shoes. The creative touches didn’t stop there – the couple’s cake was funfetti, and Anne had an artist paint a sign with her and David’s names and wedding date commemorated on it.
After they exchanged vows, the couple took some gorgeous family photos on the steps of the church building. Then David and Anne slipped away for private portraits on the grounds. The photogenic pair was captured with Anne wearing David’s coat in the cold, a sweet embrace, and an emotional shot directly after they were pronounced married.
David then exchanged his tie for a bowtie, and Anne switched her wedding dress for a royal blue cocktail number that looked perfect. The pair went to meet their family at Jessica Tuesday’s, a cute restaurant in Connecticut, for dinner. Lively candid photos reigned here, including loved ones showing off their moves on the dance floor, and an adorable shot of the newly married couple cutting the cake. The smiles worn on every face, plus the laughter and sweet words that were laced throughout this celebration show just how beloved Anne and David are by those closest to them. A Connecticut elopement is the way to celebrate!
