At the crossroads of NoHo, East Village, and Lower Manhattan, the Bower Hotel offers historic sophistication to modern couples. A New York institution for decades, the hotel hosts some of the city’s most distinguished events. Their event space is 10,000 square feet allowing plenty of space for large weddings. The style is a distinct understated opulence – not too claustrophobically Victorian – the décor can be taken in any number of directions – vintage chic, modern eclectic, or upscale and elegant. The character and personality of Bower Hotel wedding is truly unmatched.
Their graciously appointed ceremony space features expansive windows that let in plenty of gorgeous natural light. And multiple lounges give guests plenty of spaces to mingle. A working fireplace surrounded by unique green tile adds additional character. Everywhere one looks there are exposed brick walls, dark woodwork, crown molding, tile mosaic floors, and other architectural elements that elevate the space. There is not a drab corner to be found. The antique bar and billiards table are icing on the cake, so to speak.
Catering is provided onsite by the Gemma restaurant, known for its Italian comfort food classics and more modern twists on classics, like the polenta fries, stuff focaccia and baked eggs with avocado. The Bowery’s event manager will ensure your wedding goes off without a hitch. They cater to couples looking for an exclusive and exquisite experience. No run of the mill weddings here.
The large windows throughout the event space make for wonderful photo lighting. Getting ready photos will sparkly in the well-appointed guest rooms, and a patio space allows for outdoor portraits as well. And the historic architecture and well-planned décor make this space a beautiful wedding venue. It is, in fact, one of the most beautiful venues I’ve ever seen. Every wedding here is a completely unique, but entirely wonderful, love-filled event.
